Differential calculus involves finding the slope of a curve, determining instantaneous rates of change, and solving problems involving motion, growth, and optimization. Integral Calculus: This area focuses on the concept of an integral, which represents the accumulation of quantities. It can be used to calculate areas under curves, volumes, and other accumulative measures. The integral is often seen as the inverse process of differentiation. Together, these two branches form the fundamental theorem of calculus, which connects differentiation and integration, showing that they are inverse processes. Calculus is essential in many fields such as physics, engineering, economics, and any area involving dynamic systems. It provides the tools to model and solve problems where change is a key element.
